This past January I sailed on the Carnival Sunrise on a 5 Night cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. Visited Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic and Grand Turk. Although the weather was not great, the ports were awesome and sea days on the ship were beautiful.
Carnival Sunrise was formally the Carnival Triumph. The Triumph went through a $200 Million Dollar renovation in 2019 adding new dining venues and receiving a complete make over inside and out. She was originally designed with the neon and vegas style look but now has a bright look but muted color scheme compared to the Triumph.
In addition to the design change, they added some of the dining options available on other ships in the Carnival Fleet. Cucina Del Capitano, Bonsai Sushi and the Red Frog Pub.
