Located off the coast of the Yucatan in Mexico, Cozumel is one of the most popular cruise ports in the Caribbean featuring beautiful beaches, great shopping and lively entertainment. If you are sailing a Western Caribbean cruise, chances are you will port there for a day.
Most of the ships will dock at Puerta Playa but some do dock downtown. Puerta Playa is a short taxi ride to down town but if shopping, eating and drinking is on the agenda, you can do plenty of it there. Fat Tuesdays, Margaritaville, Ron Jons Surf Shop and much more is steps from the ship. |
Grand Cayman is on of my favorite ports of call. Located just south of Cuba in the Western Caribbean, GC boast some of the most beautiful beaches and best diving in the Caribbean.
Take a stroll on Seven Mile Beach or Swim with the stigrays at Stinray City. You can even check out the turtle farm and include a visit to the Tortuga Rum Cake Factory Do you like to shop? Well steps away from where you step off the tender, you will find fabulous shopping from souvenirs to high end brands. One of the stores I recommend for something interesting, even if you don't bu anything is just called Artifacts. Just a few blocks from the dock and its loaded with maps, old coins and other artifacts found from dive salvages. Things to do

Ocho Rios is one of the most popular stops on the Western Caribbean Cruises. You can also find a large variety of All Inclusive Resorts in Jamaica if you prefer a Fly and Stay
Package. On my cruise to Ocho Rios, I took a tubing trip down the white river with Chukka Caribbean. Outstanding trip and a lot of fun. A short walk from the pier is Margaritaville . Here you can hang out on a beach or by the pool for free and enjoy and drink and some great food. Things to Do
