Celebrity Reflection STateroom Review

For my cruise on Celebrity Reflection, I chose a Concierge Class Verandah Stateroom. I’ll start by reviewing the stateroom itself, then highlight the Concierge Class experience.

Stateroom 1655 is a verandah stateroom located on Deck 11 toward the aft of the ship. The location was quiet, although at times the walk felt a bit long. The room featured a queen bed—which Celebrity refers to as a king-size—and it was incredibly comfortable. In fact, Celebrity has some of the best beds I’ve experienced while cruising.

The bathroom was larger than most cruise ship bathrooms and included shelving along the side that provided plenty of storage. Don’t be fooled by the drawers, though—the top two are very small, and the bottom one is actually a trash bin. I also appreciated that Celebrity and Royal Caribbean use glass shower doors; after years of wrestling with shower curtains on Carnival, this was a welcome change.

Inside the room, there was a sofa, coffee table, and a vanity with ample storage. The vanity included three deep drawers, a smaller drawer, and plenty of counter space, along with a safe and a small refrigerator. Be aware that the fridge is stocked with liquor and sodas at an additional cost. If you’re traveling with children, your steward can lock it for you. Additional storage is available in two long cabinets above the bed—just use caution when opening them, as items can shift with the ship’s movement.

The verandah quickly became my favorite feature. It was spacious and peaceful, with a table high enough for dining and two reclining chairs. One thing I noticed—perhaps unique to Celebrity—was that the verandah door was completely solid, blocking out all noise.
Overall, this was an excellent stateroom, and I would happily book it again.

Concierge Class
Celebrity offers several upgraded service levels, including Concierge, Aqua, and Retreat. Concierge Class includes special event invitations, enhanced amenities, and various discounts.
To begin the cruise, I was invited to the Embarkation Lunch in the Opus Dining Room. Later that day, I attended a Concierge‑only sail‑away party on the helipad. Unfortunately, the cold and windy weather made it less enjoyable, but on a nicer day, it would have been wonderful.
Concierge Class also provides a pillow menu, so if you prefer something specific—like a body pillow—you can request it. The bathroom is stocked with upgraded shampoos and soaps, and the room includes binoculars and bathrobes for your use. On the first day, I received a bottle of sparkling wine, and each day I was given a snack tray. I didn’t open the wine, but the snack trays were a thoughtful touch.
The service throughout my stay was outstanding. My cabin steward, Leslie, took excellent care of the room, ensuring it was cleaned both morning and evening, complete with turn‑down service and chocolate. It’s these extra touches that truly set Celebrity apart from other cruise lines.

I have a passion for travel and believe travel is about experiences. Experiences create memories and are the stories we tell to friends and family - even with a little fudging on the facts.
