I love cruising, a matter of fact, its my favorite vacation. But there are things other passengers do which annoy the daylights out of me. Here are my top 5. Leaving glass wear or dishes everywhere including in the corner of the elevator.I see this often and it bugs me to death. Glasses are left in the elevator or in the corner of a lobby. I have even seen plates left on the stairs. Take your glasses and dishes either to your cabin with you or place them on a bar or table. It not only is common courtesy, but it makes it easier cleaning for the crew. Rushing onto the elevator before everyone gets off.Eleveator etiquite is something a lot of people don't seem to know. When an elevator arrives, first look to see if there are people getting off on that floor. If so, wait and allow them to get off. If not, then you can board the elevator. Saving deck chairs at 6 AM and not coming back until noon. Now this is a topic I know people love to talk about. I thought of this blog because I saw someone had posted a picture of 10 chairs with towels on them and had been there since 6AM. I understand you want to best seat, according to some, next to the pool but be courteous. If you are going to be gone for say more than 30 minutes, either have someone stay with the chairs or just take your stuff. If have trouble finding a chair, I might wait until around lunch time or a little after because it seems chairs open around that time. Talking loud in the hallways late at nightIt is inevidable. Every cruise, I am lying in bed and you can hear a group of people just yammering loudly all the way to their cabin. I undertand you are on vacation but be aware of the time and not everyone is up until 3 AM. Some people have to get up at 6 to put towels on chairs by the pool. Smoking in areas not designated for smoking.Every ship has designated areas for smoking. Usually 1 or 2 areas outside on deck and in the Casino. Other than those areas, you are not allowed to smoke. ESPECILALLY ON YOUR BALCONY. Smoking on your balcony or in your room will get you a huge fine and possibly removed from the ship at the next port. I have a passion for travel and believe travel is about experiences. Experiences create memories and are the stories we tell to friends and family - even with a little fudging on the facts.
