A&K Travel Group or Abercrombie and Kent, has purchased the Crystal Symphony for $25 milion and Crystal Serenity for $103 million in the Bahamas. In addition, purchasing the luxury brand, Crystal Cruise Line.
In January the company suspended operations and in February shut down. The Crystal Serenity was sailing a World Cruise at the time but was only two weeks in at the time this happened. The ships were seized in the Bahamas due to unpaid debts and later sold.
A&K is a luxury tour brand so Crystal will be a great fit. Their Chairman, Lefebvre d’Ovidio, is founder and former owner of Silversea Cruises, another luxury cruise brand. Both ships will go through an extensive refurbishment and return to service in 2023 sailing under the Crystal Cruise name. No word on itineraries or homeports as of yet. Michael Miller

I have a passion for travel and believe travel is about experiences. Experiences create memories and are the stories we tell to friends and family - even with a little fudging on the facts.
