Yesterday Carnival made a couple big announcements about their fleet. One on a new ship and the other, plans for return in 2022. The Rest of the fleet returns. By the end of March 2022, the entire US Based Fleet will be in operation. This includes the addition of Carnival Sensation from Mobile, AL, the Carnival Ecstasy from Jacksonville, FL and the Carnival Paradise from Tampa, FL. Below is a list of the home ports and ships who call them home.Galveston: Carnival Breeze, Carnival Dream and Carnival Vista
All sailings through March 2022 will continue to operate as fully vaccinated cruises with a small number of exemptions. Please see Carnival for the exception process. In addition, protocols surrounding testing and mask will continue through March 2022. Currently all Hawaii and Australia cruises are still on hold indefinitely. Hopefully soon there will be a start date for these itineraries. 3rd in Excel Class Carnival announced yesterday the third in Excel Class ships will be named Carnival Jubilee. As they did with the other two Excel Class Ships, Mardi Gras and Celebration, they brought back a name from the past. Carnival Jubilee will make her debut in 2023 and sail the Western Caribbean from Galveston TX adding to the growing presence of Carnival in Galveston. Jubilee will feature the Bolt Rollercoaster, the six distinct Fun Zones and will be powered by Liquified Natural Gas. As with any new build, I would expect some surprises as well. The sailings will be available to book in early 2022. The 2nd in the Excel Class, Carnival Celebration, will debut in Miami November 2022. She will sail six and eight night Eastern and Southern Caribbean itineraries. Cruising is back and its time to begin your vacation planning for the upcoming year and even beyond.
