Unfortunately due to COVID 19, I have to write aonother blog on cancellations. Today Carnival Cruises Line followed other cruise lines in cancelling US based cruises through April 30, 2021, Over the past couple weeks, Royal Caribbean, NCL and others had done the same.
In addition, they have cancelled all Carnival Legend sailings in Europe from May through October 31, 2021. To be honest, I expected Europe to be cancelled this year but I am holding out hope for Alaska.
April was supposed to see the much anticipated inaugural sailing of the Mardi Gras from Port Canaveral but that has now been pushed back to May 29th. So those already booked on that cruise are now on the inaugural sailing. My hope is this is the last of the delays giving them plenty of time to get reset and put in place the protocols needed to do it safely. Mike Miller
