This weekend marked the return to cruising for Carnival Cruise Line.
Over 15 months ago, cruising came to a holt for all the cruise lines. Over the past couple weeks we have seen Celebrity and others restart but this weekend was Carnival Cruise Lines turn. Starting on Saturday with the Carnival Vista out of Galveston, she set sail with a reduced capacity for a 7 Night Western Caribbean Cruise. On July 15th, Carnival Breeze will begin 4 & 5 Night itineraries from Galveston.
On July 4th, the Carnival Horizon left Miami for a 6 Night cruise to the Bahamas and Amber Cove. She left under a ton of fan fare with brand new Mardi Gras entering the channel, turning around and escorting Horizon to the Atlantic Ocean. On board Horizon, President of Carnival Cruise Line, Christine Duffy and Brand Ambassador John Heald welcomed guest aboard. Carnival made the choice to require passengers be fully vaccinated to sail for the months of July and August with a very limited number of unvaccinated passengers including children. Carnival felt this would provide the best cruise experience not requiring mask for passengers although crew will be wearing them. So the return to cruising is here and we are all ready to go.
