Carnival Liberty - Top 5

On June 15th, I sailed on a 3 Night Cruise on Carnival Liberty out of Port Canaveral. After ailing Carnival 7 other times, I knew what to expect and my expectations were exceeded. Clean and comfortable ship, friendly staff and wonderful food.
Today I am talking about my Top 5 of the cruise. No specific order.
Top 5

Alchemy Bar

The alchemy Bar is located on Promenade and can be found on most Carnival ships. The uniqueness of the bar is the bartenders wear lab coats and it looks like an old apothecary. Drinks are a little high at $10.95 a piece but they are unique and made fresh. When you visit, try The Remedy.

The 80s Party

On the last night Donkey, the Cruise Director, hosted an 80s Music Trivia Party in the Flowers Lobby. He would play a part of a song and you would write down what you thought it was. The only problem was no one followed the rule of no singing which of course added to the fun. After the contest, he played each song in full and the entire lobby sang along. Look for this on your next itinerary.

Snorkeling in Nassau
In Nassau, I did the Catamaran and Snorkel Shore Excursion sold by Carnival. Great value and tour. Walked a short distance from the ship to the catamaran and set off to a reef for a 45-minute snorkel. The staff was great with safety and entertainment and helped make the trip fun. The area where we anchored was about 10 to 112 feet deep and was crystal clear. Beautiful yellow and black striped fish (sorry don’t know the kind), coral, sponges and other sea life. Such a great excursion and I would do it again. And what would a catamaran trip be without the rum punch.

Hasbro, The Game Show
This was so fun to watch but on my next cruise I will participate. Its hosted in the main show lounge where the choose members of the audience with trivia questions. But it’s not that easy, if you know the answer, you must get Donkeys attention somehow. It may take a chicken dance. After the teams are chosen they participate in games on stage. They seem to be a combination of games like the first one was bowling / Yahtzee. It was fun watching the teams compete but I think the more entertaining part was Donkey choosing the teams.

The Serenity Deck
On the Carnival Liberty, its split between decks 13 and 14 forward. This area is 21 and up and designed for adults. There are lounges with cushions, chairs with atamans, hammocks and these large half oval chairs that could hold 3 or 4 people. All surrounded by mostly quiet. In the very front of the ship, there are 2 hot tubs facing out with an amazing view. And no need to get up, the servers will come to you. The Serenity deck is available on most Carnival ships and worth checking out. If you want a hammock, get there early.

I hope these were helpful and if you have any questions or need vacation planning, don’t hesitate to call or email me at my contact info below.

I have a passion for travel and believe travel is about experiences. Experiences create memories and are the stories we tell to friends and family - even with a little fudging on the facts.
