Carnival makes some moves with ship redeployment

With the announcement last week of the Carnival Sensation and Ecstasy leaving the fleet, some ship redeployments were expected. Now Jacksonville has a ship again and Alaska gets a second ship. 

Today Carnival announced some ships will be moving to new homeports. Take a deep breath and try and keep up. 

• Carnival Elation will leave Port Canaveral and will return to Jacksonville and begin sailing 4 & 5 Night Bahamas itineraries beginning on April 21, 2022 through October 13, 2022 replacing Carnival Ecstasy that went to Mobile AL. 
• Carnival Freedom will replace Carnival Elation in Port Canaveral sailing 4 & 5 Night Bahamas and Caribbean itineraries beginning April 1, 2022 through October 15, 2022. 
• The scheduled Panama Canal Cruises on April 17, 2022 and September 20, 2022 will be on the Carnival Spirit rather than Freedom.
• Alaska Sailings on Carnival Freedom will either be moved to Carnival Spirit or Splendor depending on the sailing giving Carnival two ships in Alaska for the 2022 Season. 

I don't know about you but these ship redeployments can be a little crazy. But getting the Elation back in Jacksonville and another Conquest Class ship in Port Canaveral is wonderful. I sailed on the Elation a few years ago when she was in Jacksonville and although shes an old fantasy class ship, she is a great ship.
