Change In Protocols
This week NCL announced a change in their protocols surrounding Covid. First, they will allow kids under the age of five to sail unvaccinated. Second, mask will now be optional for all passengers whether indoors or out. This will all begin with sailings March 1, 2022 and I hope it will be a sign other cruise lines will do the same.

Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines has lifted the mask requirement for areas on the ship designated vaccinated only. This include certain bars and other venues. Mask are also not required while eating or drinking or while on outside decks.  This will begin with sailings after February 15, 2022.

Holland America Sails 6 Ships in Alaska in 2023
Holland America has been sailing Alaska longer than any other cruise line si you could say they have the experience. In 2023, you will have your choice of 6 ships, Eurodam, Koningsdam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Noordam, Volendam and Amsterdam. Itineraries will include two departures on the 14 Night Alaskan Explorer and a variety of sailings between Vancouver and Whittier, roundtrip Vancouver and roundtrip Seattle. Sailings will run from April 2023-September 2023. On Alaska sailings, Holland features naturalist and park rangers to present and answer questions about the wonders of Alaska.

Carnival Cruise Line Adjusting Testing
Carnival announced this week they will allow guest who have had COVID 19 to sail without going through the required pre cruise testing 48 hours before the cruise. This will include anyone vaccinated or unvaccinated who have recovered from the virus within three months of sailing. And passengers must have recovered at least 10 days prior to sailing. You will need documentation to prove it.

Physical or digital copy of the results from the initial infection.
A letter from a medical provider indicating the date of your release from isolation and remember, it must be at least 10 days prior to sailing.
Additionally, guest will need to go through additional screening at the terminal.

See Carnival.com for more details and of course refer to your travel advisor or Carnival for up to date protocols.

I have a passion for travel and believe travel is about experiences. Experiences create memories and are the stories we tell to friends and family - even with a little fudging on the facts.
So let me create a vacation you can brag about!
