On March 17, 2021, the Dominican Republic announced new travel requirements for entry and its great news. They are aligning with the Responsible Tourism Recovery Plan. The Dominican Republic will no longer require a negative PCR COVID Test result to be presented upon arrival into the DR. They will be preforming random test at the airport via breath test to between 3% and 15% of the arriving passengers and those who show symptoms. In addition, all passengers will get a temperature check upon arrival. Anyone who presents symptoms or test positive will be isolated. No information is provide on how long. Remember though, for those of us here in the United States, the testing requirement is not over. Per the CDC Order, you will be required to present a negative COVID 19 test upon check in for your flight departing your destination. Like other destinations, the Dominican Republic has worked hard to provide testing for guest in the country. Many of the hotels in the area especially all inclusive resorts have antigen testing on site. There is a small fee for the lab work but some hotels have absorbed that cost for guest. If the hotel does not provide a test, there are labs throughout the country that are offering the test. If you are considering a vacation to the Dominican Republic, we will verify testing availability prior to booking your trip. For more information visit Go Dominican Republic. Mike Miller |

I have a passion for travel and believe travel is about experiences. Experiences create memories and are the stories we tell to friends and family - even with a little fudging on the facts.
