The National Park Organic Service Act was signed by Woodrow Wilson in 1918 creating the National Park Service making these lands safe from development and for us to enjoy. Many of those parks are located out west. Yellowstone, Grand Teton and the Grand Canyon and you can see them all plus more with Trafalgar Tours.
The eight night Five Epic National Parks Tour with Trafalgar begins in Jackson, WY and ends in Las Vegas, NV. Go from cowboy to gambler while you see five of the most magnificent National Parks, Teton, Yellowstone, Bryce Canyon, Zion and Grand Canyon.
Your adventure begins with your first night in Jackson at the the Rustic Inn where you will enjoy a reception and meet your tour director.
The next day enjoy breakfast and head out to Grand Teton National Park. Here you will float on the Snake River taking in the scenery and views of wildlife. Later return to Jackson for a regional dinner.
On Day 3, after breakfast, you will head to West Yellowstone where you will spend two nights at the Grey Wolf Inn and Suites. Along the way seeing the towering Tetons and mountain meadows.
The next day, grab breakfast before boarding your coach to Yellowstone National Park, the oldest of the National Parks. Here you will see the Geothermal geysers including the most famous, Old Faithful. Keep an eye out for wildlife because elk and bear are residents of Yellowstone.
On Day 5, you will head off to Salt Lake City, Capital of UT. Here you will explore on your own and later meet up with your fellow travelers at Homewood Suites by Hilton Downtown for a regional dinner.
For Day 6, grab breakfast before boarding your coach for Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park. The first stop you will get to see the red stone spires and huge cathedral canyon walls.
Continue to Zion National Park to see the towering red, cream and pink canyons. You will stay at the La Quinta Inn & Suites at Zion Springdale for the night and see more of Zion in the morning. For Day 7, you board a train for a trip through Zion National Park along the towering canyon walls on your way to Williams, AZ. Along the way, a stop at the Cameron Trading Post. For the next two nights, you will stay at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel.
On Day 8, grab some breakfast and board the famous Grand Canyon Railway for a ride to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. This 40 million year old UNESCO Listed site is one of the 7 Wonders of the World. Enjoy view of vast horizons of this natural wonder.
Tonight you return to Williams for a Be Our Guest dinner at South Rims Beer and Wine . This is a former Route 66 gas station features craft beers and Arizona wines. The Be Our Guest Program is a feature on some Trafalgar Tours where you are hosted by a local business or even a local family for dinner or drinks. Settle in for your final night on the tour.
On your last day, after breakfast, board your coach for your trip to Las Vegas. You will be taken to the Las Vegas Airport but consider an extra night. You have come all this way, don't miss out on a night in Vegas. Play the slots, see a show or just take in the lights of the strip.
