 Carnival makes changes to onboard experiences, Princess announces new amenity package and Viking debus a new ocean voyage ship.  Carnival Temporarily Suspends Some Onboard Experiences Carnival Cruise Line made an announcement this week due to staffing shortages, some on board experiences would be temporarily cut back. For the entire fleet with the exception of Mardi Gras, the specialty dining restaurant Cucina Del Capitano will not be open for dinner. In addition, the Chefs Table will not be available. Cucina will still be available for lunch on sea days as normal so you will still be able to get those fantastic pasta bowls. You will also be able to get some of the menu items from Cucina in the main dining room. Also, the Diamond and Platinum Parties will be suspended but Diamond Guest will get a $50 OBC and Platinum and Diamond Guest will get two drink vouchers. All of this is temprary and expected to only last through June 30, 2022.  Princess Cruise Line Adds Amenity Package This week Princess Cruise Line announced a new optional Amenity package with dining, wifi, drinks and more. To me, the biggest value in this package is the Premier Beverage Package which includes top shelf spirits, drinks up to $18 a piece plus unlimited specialty coffee, smoothies and soda..The wifi and specialty dining ends up being a bonus.  Viking Mars On March 17, the brand new Viking Cruise ship, Viking Mars was Christened. The Godmother Lady Fiona Carnarvon, the Countess of Carnarvon christened the ship in Malta in front of her residence. Viking Mars is the eighth in their fleet of ocean voyage ships. This is luxury small ship cruising with only around 462 verandah staterooms, a Scandinavian design and impeccable service.
