In the news this week, Carnival reveals new details about Celebration, Discovery Princess is Christened and NCL Prima steps up the spa. This week Carnival revealed more information about the brand new Carnival Celebration. The ship will have a new lounge called The Golden Jubilee located on deck 6 where the Brass Magnolia is on Mardi Gras. This will be a throw back and dedication to the 50 years of Carnival with designs, items from old Carnival ships and original drawings. The bar will have two deck high ceilings with drawings around the edge showing the evolution of Carnival ships over the years. It will also have classic drinks on the menu with a modern twist including the Harvey Walbanger and Tom Collins. Re created drawings from designer Joe Farcus who designed so many of Carnival ships will be etched into tiles and mirrors. Items from old ships like a door from the TSS Carnivale will stand at the entrance, cocktail tables from the Fascination and more. This is going to be a fantastic spot to grab a drink and enjoy the history of Carnival Carnival Celebration will debut in Miami in November 2022. Today in the Port Of Los Angeles, Princess Cruise Line will christen their newest ship, Discovery Princess. Discovery is the sixth in the Royal Class of ships holds 3,660 guest and features gourmet food, top entertainment and amazing views. Some of the restaurants on board, the Crown Grill, Sabatinis, Gigi's Pizzeria and the Buffet World Fresh Market plus so much more. After the christening, she will head up the coast to begin a season of Alaska sailings. She will sail 7 night itineraries from Seattle featuring ports like Skagway, Juneau and of course cruising Glacier Bay. Norwegian Cruise Line revealed features in the spa for the new Prima. What interested me is the Thermal Suites where they have added more experiences. The spa will offer eight thermal options including a charcoal sauna, the first at sea, salt and steam room, ice room experiential showers, flotation salt pool and Vitality pool. Another interesting feature will be experiential beds which use acoustic vibration and massage therapies. You will also have a selection of 22 hot stone loungers to relax on. Prima was originally supposed to debut in August of this year but as with so many situations, supply chain issues have delayed her debut. No word at this point on when the new date is for her inaugural sailing. Michael MillerShare the knowledge

I have a passion for travel and believe travel is about experiences. Experiences create memories and are the stories we tell to friends and family - even with a little fudging on the facts.
