On Monday Port Canaveral Florida took the next step in preparation for the arrival of Carnival s newest ship, the Mardi Gras. They broke ground for Terminal 3 also nicknamed the “Launch Pad” due to its proximity to Kennedy Space Center. Terminal 3 will be 187,000 Square Feet and as have a price tag of approximately $162 Million. As expected with a new terminal there will be high tech baggage services and security with a modern design. The terminal will have seating for 1700 passengers and a new 187,000 Square Foot parking garage will be able to park 1800 vehicles A new terminal is a great way to welcome the newest and most innovative ship from Carnival Cruise Line. The terminal will be completed in May 2020 and the Mardi Gras will arrive in October 2020. Port Canaveral is the second busiest cruise port with Carnival, NCL, Royal Caribbean and Disney all with multiple ships taking passengers to the Caribbean and the Bahamas. But even with that many ships and so many passengers, in my opinion, it is still the easiest cruise port from which to cruise plus its only 2 hours away from me. So I am really excited about getting a brand new ship close by. For more information on the Mardi Gras, check out some previous blog post. Share the knowledge

I have a passion for travel and believe travel is about experiences. Experiences create memories and are the stories we tell to friends and family - even with a little fudging on the facts.
