This week more cancellations have come out from Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Lines.
First, on Monday NCL announced they are extending their pause cancelling all cruises through November 30thm 2020. In addition to these cancellations, the have also cancelled sailings on the NCL Dawn, Star and Spirit through March 2021. With this round, there are no Future Cruise Credits like in the past extensions, rather they are providing a full refund automatically.
On Tuesday, Royal Caribbean announced they are also extending cruise cancellations through November 30th, 2020. Passengers will have the choice of RCCLs Lift and Shift Program, an FCC worth 125% of what they paid or a 100% refund.
I would expect Carnival to follow suit. Disney, Princess Cruise Line and Holland America are already extended into December.
What does this mean? Well, the CDC extended the No Sail Order until October 31 so this could be just in preparation to reposition ships and bring crew back on board. For this cruiser, I hope this means cruising is n sight.
